During our 90 minute homeroom on December 9th, Room 132 had 4 guest speakers from Samsung, who brought 30 Samsung devices for the kids to use during the presentation. They used apps (like Google Docs and Google Slides) that are similar to the chromebooks to give the kids an intro to the technological possibilities. AND they brought the new Samsung Gear VR which is like a pair of goggles used for gaming and such. The students had the opportunity to test run them! At the end of the period, the class reflected on how technology can be used to support them as a student and in a potential career. Eagles soaring!
