Saturday, January 25th - Eleven dedicated Audubon teachers and Principal Young represented Audubon MS at an LAUSD Common Core Training of curriculum and instructional strategies to better engage our Audubon Eagles academically. Well done Eagle Teachers!

We are excited to announce that the Class of 2014 at Audubon has decided their Class Identity in selecting their class Name, class song, class motto, and class colors. The 8th Grade students have used Technology to democratically vote for their exciting Class colors, Class Song, Class T Shirt Design, and were allowed to use their Cell phones during homeroom and the computers in the school library to make their voices heard! We applaud them for their participation!

Mandatory 8th grade Parent Meeting on Thursday, February 6 at 6pm in the Auditorium. Parents please join us for important information that will be shared. Parents will have an opportunity to purchase the 8th grade packet, the final 8th grade Spring calendar will be distributed. We will also recognize our 8th grade Spelling Bee Winners, Oratorical Contestants, and 8th Grade "E" Club recipients! The 8th grade Class Sponsors will be introduced - Congratulations to Ms. Rosby and Mr. Bernal our 8th grade teacher sponsors!

On February 7, 2014 from 2:00 pm – 4:30 pm, Audubon will host its Inaugural Community Resource Fair. Come learn about resources that are available in our community. This event will provide free health screenings along with information on services for the entire family.
There will be drawings and light refreshments for purchase.
Parking will be available on the black top.

Schoolwide "SCRIPPS" Spelling Bee Competition!
One Champion will be voted as the Audubon Champion and compete at the regional bee!

The gifted magnet program has partnered with UCLA through its "Design for Sharing" K-12 curriculum. The purpose of the program is to expose students to various types of visual and performing arts. The entire 6th grade class was invited to view "The Intergalactic Nemesis" on Nov. 4, 2013 at Royce Hall on the campus of UCLA.

Final day of Harvest Fest - amazing activities and student participation in the Lunchtime Activities, the SPED Harvest Cookie Decorating Contest, Pie Eating Contest, Egg Toss Competition, 8th Grade Movie Scary Movie Theater! Drill Team and Drum line Harvest Salute! So many activities, all in one day!
