On Tuesday, October 25th students in all grade levels attended anti bullying assemblies and Restorative Justice circles. Students expressed themselves and were encouraged to communicate with an adult or someone that they trust if they feel they are being bullied. Parents can click on the link for helpful steps to take if feel your child is being bullied.

On Friday, October 28, 2016. Students are invited to attend Audubon's annual Harvest Festival. Students can purchase a $5 bracelet which will allow for unlimited games, jumper and The Walking Dead dance. Snacks and food will be sold. Bring Cash and a positive attitude!

On Thursday September 1, 2016 you are invited to several parent meetings. Flyers were sent home today. For your convenience you can also download and print your own!

Welcome back to school! Among the paperwork you received at registration AMS included LAUSD's 5 goals for Parent Engagement. You can read and print BULLETIN 6336.0 District Title 1 Parent Involvement Policy here which includes the District's policy for parent engagement! The information will be mailed out the week of November 28, 2016 with other important information!

On Sunday, May 15th parents, students, staff and the community at large joined together for Big Sunday at Audubon Middle School. Big Sunday will become an annual tradition when Everyone can make a difference on the AMS campus. Parents, guardians, relatives, staff members and community members participted in joining together by beautifing the school grounds by gardening, painting and cleaning the grounds.

Join us on Thursday, April 28, 2016 at Buffalo Wild Wings from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm for a No Cook Night and Fundraiser. 10% of proceeds will be donated to Audubon. Print the coupon or pick one up at the Attendance Office and present it when you pay your bill! Come enjoy good food and good company.

Join AMS in Parent Learning Workshops on Saturday, April 16, 2016 from 9 am to 1 pm. Topics Include: Helping your child navigate the Smarter Balanced Test, Wi Families-technology at home and in the classroom, Positive Behavior Support and Unlocking Potential through Mindfulness. Visit the Resource Fair and listen to Motivational Speaker Jerome Vincent Carter. Students will earn community service hours. Refreshments will be provided.

Audubon Middle School and Gifted Magnet Center serves as one of 10 pilot schools in the Restorative Justice and Breakfast in the Classroom partnership. Audubon MS focuses on establishing relationship building activities to foster restorative practices and strengthen social emotional practices for the entire school community. March 17, 2016 5pm- 8pm AMS/EXPO16 was the place to be in Los Angeles! The Spring Open House for Audubon featured, 6th & 7th grade Recognition Ceremony, the new Music Band performance, the 8th Grade IGP mtg, the Special Education Family Ice Cream Social, the Gifted/Gate Parent Mtg. and student conferencing in the classrooms. Parents and students shopped in the Spring Bookfair, bought Yearbooks, Leadership Bake Sale, and ended the night in March Madness Basketball Festivities. Ms. Ayala, Gilliam, Fields, Fuller, Torrence, Ortega, and Rosby planned an amazing evening.

On Saturday, March 12, 2016 - Audubon MS participated in the prestigious Academic Pentathlon for Middle School Students in the OC at the Bolsa Grande High School. 9 Students lead by their fearless Academic Coaches - N. Gilliam, Magnet Coordinator and J. Fuller, Math Instructional Coach challenged teams from around the County of Los Angeles on the field of Academic Scholarship!
